UMH Hosts Final of UMHFest Music Contest

The Elche campus will host the 23rd edition of the competition tomorrow, featuring 5 finalist bands, Xavibo, and Sr. Bizarro.

The Elche campus of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) will host the final of the 23rd edition of the UMHFest music group contest tomorrow, October 2nd.

The event, organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Equality, and Diversity and the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Coordination, will take place starting at 6:30 PM in the lobby of the Altabix building. The 5 finalist bands of the competition will compete, along with urban artist Xavibo and last edition's winner, Sr. Bizarro.
This year's finalist bands are Gluu!, Tape on Sale, Rainforest B, Tearful Sorrow, and Herreros. As is customary, the participating groups cover different styles, with the requirement that at least one of their members belongs to the UMH university community.
In parallel, the Student Delegation of the Higher Polytechnic School of Elche (EPSE) of the UMH has organized the traditional Ice Cream Stick Bridge Contest in the same venue. This edition will feature competitions in the Aesthetics category (with 7 bridges) and Mobility (with 4 bridges). The Weight category will take place on October 22nd in the building's exterior plaza.
