The award recognizes the professor's advancements in the fight against pancreatic disease. The award ceremony will take place tomorrow, Friday, October 9th, at the Palau de la Generalitat, during the institutional celebration of October 9th.
Professor Enrique de Madaria, who is also head of the Bilio-Pancreatic Unit at the Dr. Balmis University General Hospital in Alicante and deputy scientific director of ISABIAL, is globally recognized for his contributions to the study and treatment of pancreatic and biliary tract diseases.
He also leads global clinical trials in pancreatology, has over 200 articles published in international impact medical journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, and has chaired the Spanish Association of Pancreatology (AESPANC) and the Spanish Association of Gastroenterology (AEG).
