The exhibition is divided into three distinct areas: the first dedicated to photography, featuring images of the sector's origins and production processes from the last century; the second, displaying a private collection of machinery and functional looms made by Arturo Soriano, representative of traditional manufacturing; and the third, focusing on current production with a display of 21 carpets illustrating the diversity of current fabrics and raw materials.
This eleventh edition, organized in collaboration with the Crevillent City Council (Trade and Industry Departments) and UNIFAM, involves eleven local companies. The exhibition will illustrate the various stages of carpet making, from spinning and dyeing to design, weaving, and finishing.
The official inauguration will take place this Friday, September 25th, at 10:30 AM, with the presence of Crevillent's mayor, Lourdes Aznar Miralles, and UNIFAM president, Eduardo Díaz Mas.
Participating companies include: Naturtex, AB Elegance, Hispania, Imperial, Delta, Hilaturas Textiles Crevillente, Unitrama, Sualsa, Galmacarpet S.L., Tapisa, and Universal.
