The Department of Citizen Security, headed by Mónica Pastor, has initiated the tender process for the supply of various road signage elements. These include vertical circulation signs, complementary plates, information panels, personalized information signs, support elements, anchors, fixing systems, beaconing elements, speed bumps, road paint, and other auxiliary material for the municipality of Orihuela.
The contract is divided into two lots. The first lot is for the supply of signs and auxiliary material for the city of Orihuela, the urban center, its districts, and the rest of the municipal area. The second lot covers the same concept but is exclusively for the Orihuela Costa area. The total investment for this initiative amounts to 207,000 euros, including VAT.
The councilor for Citizen Security and Contracting emphasized that the need for this contract stems from the municipal obligation to maintain adequate, visible, homogeneous, and technically correct road signage on all public roads and spaces. Mónica Pastor recalled that these elements suffer progressive deterioration due to the passage of time, vandalism, or traffic accidents, necessitating a regular supply of materials to meet replacement needs promptly.
Pastor highlighted that this tender is possible thanks to the efficient management of municipal economic resources and corresponding budgetary modifications, which translate into an effective improvement of the services provided and the quality of life for Orihuela's residents.
The tender documents are published on the contracting platform, and offers can be submitted until October 8.
