The initiative, driven by the Emergency and Education departments, aims to provide basic knowledge on how to respond to risky situations and reinforce the importance of safety protocols. The activities begin next Friday, October 23rd, with a session for teachers from the Official School of Languages of Orihuela.
Subsequently, on Thursday, November 5th, a talk will be held at the School for Adult Education, with an expected participation of 100 people. The sessions will continue on November 17th and 18th at the CEIP Andrés Manjón, aimed at 150 students. In total, the training is expected to reach 271 individuals.
The content covers evacuation protocols, guidelines for action in various incidents, safety tips, and the correct use of the emergency number 112. The goal is for participants to acquire practical knowledge applicable both in educational centers and in daily life.
“"We want both schoolchildren, teachers, and adults to know how to act in an emergency. Knowing basic guidelines, staying calm, and knowing when to call 112 can make a difference in a risky situation."
The Councilor for Emergencies, Víctor Valverde, highlighted the continuity of these talks, expanding them to different groups to bring knowledge to families and the general public. This initiative follows up on the work carried out last academic year in the municipality's educational centers.
Furthermore, the Department of Emergencies maintains its willingness to collaborate with educational centers in organizing and coordinating evacuation drills to reinforce the knowledge acquired.
