The Orihuela City Council has approved the regulations for the call for 16 vacant non-sedentary sales positions in the markets of La Aparecida, Torremendo, and Desamparados.

The Markets Department, led by Noelia Grao, has established a competitive bidding process for the allocation of these stalls, in accordance with municipal ordinances.
The La Aparecida market offers seven stalls for footwear, perfumery and drugstore items, lingerie and underwear, general clothing, fruits, vegetables and produce, charcuterie, pickles and preserves, and roast chicken.
The Torremendo market has five stalls for fruits, vegetables and produce, general clothing, footwear, perfumery and drugstore items, and lingerie and underwear.
Meanwhile, the Desamparados market includes four stalls for bakery, pastry and confectionery, flowers and plants, footwear, and crafts, gift items, and costume jewelry.
The municipal authorizations will be granted for a period of fifteen years, linked to the assigned activity and surface area. Both individuals and legal entities meeting the requirements can participate.
The allocation will be based on a merit assessment system considering factors such as professional experience, training, complementary product offerings, unemployment status, product proximity, and waste reduction measures.
The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days. The complete regulations and application forms are available on the electronic headquarters of the Orihuela City Council.
