The project, with an estimated execution period of four months, aims to put an end to persistent water leaks from the current metal roof, a problem that has plagued the building since its construction. The passage of time and the leaks themselves have also deteriorated the interior, leaving obsolete facilities in need of comprehensive reform.
The project includes the installation of a new Deck-type roof, made of galvanized steel sheeting, thermal insulation with mineral wool panels, and bilayer waterproofing. It will also address singular points and renew gutters and downspouts.
Inside, new metal false ceilings, dry partition walls, and enclosures are planned. Lighting will be upgraded with LED technology, and floors will be replaced with high-traffic porcelain stoneware with a wood-like finish.
The renovation will also extend to the basement and parking area, where a continuous concrete floor prepared for vehicular traffic will be laid, and road markings will be renewed. New motorized aluminum rolling doors will also be installed.
Regarding fire safety and ventilation, the project includes fire doors, equipment signage, a detection system, and smoke detectors, as well as fans and ducts to update the ventilation system.
The works will also cover electrical installations, lighting, cladding, and painting, along with necessary dismantling and demolition. The estimated budget excluding taxes is 402,442.22 euros.
The Market is located between Malecón de la Encantá, Pasaje La Comuna, and Alberto González Vergel streets. The award will heavily favor the economic offer (80 points), while the remaining 20 points will be distributed between a reduced execution period and an extended warranty period.
