Construction has commenced on Almoradí's future Child and Adolescent Mental Health Day Hospital, involving an investment of 1,463,976 euros and a nine-month execution period.

The construction of the new healthcare center, which will serve the entire Vega Baja region, has now begun. The project is underway in a municipal building located at the bus terminal in Almoradí.
Mayor María Gómez emphasized that this project, the result of intensive work by the City Council, represents the realization of a specialized healthcare service of great importance for the area. The new facility will bring care closer to many families and avoid the need for travel to other municipalities.
The project includes the comprehensive renovation and expansion of a previously unused building. Its location was chosen for its accessibility and connection to other towns, facilitating arrival by both public and private transport.
The center will feature administrative, care, and therapeutic spaces, including areas for reception, admission, professional offices, nursing control, group therapy rooms, and occupational workshops. It will also have a dining area, waiting room, and necessary facilities for its operation.
Councillor for Health and Social Services, Nuria Follana, highlighted the significance of this accessible and specialized resource for the care of children and adolescents requiring mental health monitoring, as well as for supporting their families.
The new day hospital will provide care from medical, nursing, psychology, and psychiatry professionals, addressing the current health and social priority of child and adolescent mental health.
