The Albatera City Council presented today, October 30th, the seventh edition of the Commerce Voucher Campaign, which will inject nearly half a million euros into the local economy.

The campaign, supported by a record subsidy of 227,855 euros from the Provincial Council of Alicante, aims to promote and boost local commerce. In this edition, residents over 16 years old registered before January 1, 2024, can purchase up to four vouchers per person: two of €10 and two of €5, totaling €30.
To use the vouchers, citizens must spend double the voucher's value in participating stores. For instance, to use a €10 voucher, a minimum purchase of €20 is required.
Pilar Oltra, Councilor for Development, detailed that vouchers can be purchased at the Albatera City Council's ground floor with a DNI from November 16th to November 27th, during morning (9:00-14:00) and afternoon (17:00-20:00) hours. The vouchers will be valid from November 16th to December 6th.
Mayor Ana Serna expressed gratitude to the Provincial Council of Alicante for enabling this initiative, which has already generated over two million euros in six years. Serna highlighted that the campaign "dynamizes local commerce on a large scale" and also benefits family economies.
Finally, the mayor encouraged both merchants to join the campaign and residents to participate, taking the opportunity to make their regular purchases from local businesses. The City Council will soon provide information on participating stores.
